Reuven Ashtar is a Visiting Professor and the Assistant Director of Osgoode’s Intellectual Property Law & Technology Program. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in Peace & Conflict Studies and Art History from the University of Toronto (Victoria College), and his B.C.L. and LL.B., with Distinction, from McGill Law School, where he served as co-editor-in-chief of the McGill Journal of Law and Health. After practicing corporate law at Borden Ladner Gervais, Reuven undertook an LL.M. at the University of Toronto as a Graduate Fellow in Innovation Law and Policy and Nathan Strauss Q.C. Graduate Fellow in International Law and Intellectual Property. His research focuses on cyberlaw, innovation, technology law, and the interplay between new and traditional media.
